GET INSPIRED AND DO SOME SIGNIFICANT BRAINSTORMING
One of the biggest mistakes, especially when using Facebook Ads for the first time, is the lack of patience. Seriously, many people are hearing about how lucrative Facebook Ads should be. You storm the Ad Manager and start the first campaign. Pictures, texts, call to action – everything is there. Problem: It’s really all there, but not mature at all.
Please keep in mind that daily masses of new content are published on Facebook and of course that applies to advertising as well.
Your Facebook ad must stand out from the crowd so that it even attracts attention, even if it is shown to the right people (a question of correct targeting, more on that in a later post).
Think about exactly what you are aiming for: What do you want to achieve? More traffic on your website? More leads or maybe more fans? Do you want to build a community or do you want to boost sales of your product? All these questions must be answered before you start your Facebook ad.
Look at other ads – including those of the competition! Check exactly how successful these ads are … how many interactions do you see? Are there comments on the ad that relate to their content? Was the ad also shared or does it only live on paid reach? So you get a good idea of what works and what does not. You take the positive factors for your own ads and tailor them to your needs. This will bring you closer to the optimal display for you step by step.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
You do not have to reinvent the wheel. Before you spend a lot of money on unsuccessful Facebook ads, you’d rather look into successful ads. That’s fine, as long as you do not copy copiously. Takes the elements that work on foreign ads and customize them for your purposes
A great sight for checking out other ads is AdEspresso.
Here’s an example for certain Brands.
This is only the first but very important step on how to run successful Facebook ads. More tips are to come.
